About the Legal Team
Collier & Associates, Inc. (C&A) along with Collier & Associates, Co., L.P.A. (C&A) is a national financial consulting and law practice limited to representing doctors in the business aspects of their affairs. The practice was started by the late Richard A. Collier who took over the practice of Sarner & Associates, Ltd. In 1987. Brandon S. Collier continues this tradition and legacy of expert advice for doctors and their practices.
Collier & Associates, Inc. publishes the bi-monthly newsletter ‘The Collier Advantage’, which provides timely information regarding taxes, insurance, investments, practice transitions and much more to thousands of doctors, and has done so for over 30 years.
Mr. Collier lectures extensively on these subjects to doctors and students at C&A seminars and as a featured guest speaker at national, regional, state and local dental meetings.
Brandon S. Collier, J.D., LL.M.
Mr. Brandon Collier is a practicing attorney and President of Collier & Associates, Inc., a forty-year old firm specializing in representing dentists with practice transitions and providing objective unbiased advice regarding the business aspects of their practices, law, taxes, insurance, investing and how to live a good life. He is the Editor of the twice-monthly Collier Newsletter, which for 38 years has been providing topical advice and practical ideas to doctors to help them get and retire wealthy. He also conducts the popular Collier doctor seminars at destinations throughout the country, including seminars devoted to practice transitions, advanced investing (nothing is sold or promoted, the focus is solely on teaching), and aggressive tax and business planning. Mr. Collier oversees the Collier retirement plan division which designs and prepares profit sharing, 401(k) and defined benefit plans for hundreds of dental practices throughout the country.
He has many years of experience of consulting with doctors and speaking nationwide as an invited lecturer. He believes in giving back to orthodontics and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the AAO Foundation (the AAO’s charitable arm) and is a Regent level of the Foundation. He currently serves on the Visiting Committee of the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry and the Advisory Board of the Dr. Edward Shils Entrepreneurial Education Fund.
Mr. Collier is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.

Outside Lectures and Guest Articles
Mr. Collier has been a frequent lecturer at professional society meetings, including the AAO Annual Sessions. Mr. Collier participated on the Practice Transitions panel in Denver in 2008 and Washington, D.C. in 2010 and the Financial Management panel in Boston in 2009 and Washington in 2010. Mr. Collier will be conducting both of these seminars again in Chicago in 2011. In addition, Mr. Collier conducted two seminars on practice transitions at the Ohio Dental Association in 2009, one tailored to Dr. Sellers and the other targeted to Dr. Buyers. Mr. Collier has also lectured at the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists and the Ohio Association of Orthodontists.
Mr. Collier has also lectured at various dental groups around the country, including the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice, the Florida Academy of Dental Practice and Administration, the Sierra Nevada Study Club, the Continental Orthodontic Study Club, the Harrisburg Area Dental Society, American Dental Sales Conference (Orlando, FL), Northwestern Ohio Dental Society (Lima, OH), and Blue Ribbon Seminars (Bozeman, MT).
Mr. Collier is also a frequent lecturer at dental schools speaking with fourth year dental and graduate students.

Danielle L. Schlaufman McBride, J.D., LL.M.
Ms. McBride joined Collier & Associates in June of 2000. She represents dentists and doctors in all phases of the practice transition, including choice and organization of entity, practice valuation, structuring the practice sale, tax allocations, addition of an associate, the outright sale of a practice, the sale of a partial interest in a practice, the purchase and sale of an interest in a group practice and the drafting of associate employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, purchase and sale agreements, buy-sell agreements, and other related documents. She regularly consults with clients to provide practice management and tax saving advice.
Ms. McBride is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
